Affordable Acupuncture

So, as some of you have already heard, I have a dream…a big one…and I want to tell you more about it!
I want to have a Community Acupuncture clinic in the heart of Nyack. The idea behind a Community based model is first and foremost to offer the amazing benefits of acupuncture to more people and at a more affordable fee by offering a sliding scale of $20-60 based on what you can afford OR by offering to volunteer to work in the clinic or bartering for services.
Most people know that acupuncture is successful in helping with all types of pain and /or injury: muscular, dental, joint and nerve damage. But did you know that acupuncture can also help with anxiety, depression and fertility, as well as internal medicine issues such as digestion, weight loss, hormonal imbalance and auto-immune disorders? It also kicks ass as a self care treatment for maintaining overall well-being!
Community Acupuncture allows access to every area of the body through targeted acupuncture points on the arms, legs and head; thereby patients are fully clothed…all you need to do is roll up your sleeves and allow access to your legs and we’re ready to go!
Why now? I want to give back to my community..to this wonderful welcoming community of artists, locals, and families I’ve met and grown to know and love in these short 5 years in Nyack..to the average person who deserves to have access to the healing possible through acupuncture and Chinese medicine.

Perhaps you or someone you know has been curious to try acupuncture but aren’t able to afford it. Now you’ll have a sliding scale based on what you can afford. Or you already know and love the benefits of regular acupuncture and yet it’s not possible on your budget. Or maybe you don’t have the time for a private session. Whatever your motivation, this model makes it much more affordable to actually get the treatments one needs to see results! Additionally, there is the phenomenon of ‘group qi(chee)’ or group healing, which has powerful restorative potentials!
Of course for more chronic situations you may need more than what the Community model offers. I will still be available for private sessions in my office on North Broadway where I provide customized treatment strategies; incorporating herbal medicine, nutritional counseling etc as necessary.

Until the dream space becomes available, I’ve opened up select hours at my present office so I can comfortably treat 3-4 patients per hour.  Email or call for details and appointment times for those of you who’d like to start experiencing the Community model now!
I’m really excited. Here’s to dreams!

P.S Please spread the word!

  1. Hello, I am interested in the community accupuncture and sliding scale/barter structure. I am an adjunct part time lecturer doing my best to make ends meet for my young family, and trying to tend to some wounds at the same time. I love and appreciate your mission to make these healing modalities accessible and would be excited to participate in the clinic. Thank you for your time and energy.
